Vertical timber fins and dark stone frame a sequence of entrance courts and gardens at the foot of the mountains.
Named after the alpine gorge above Bishkek, the house is composed of long, low volumes in timber and dark stone that follow the line of the foothills.
Arrival is choreographed through a series of courts: a stone forecourt, a bonsai garden at the entrance and a lawn that opens towards the peaks.
